Statement of Faith
The Holy Scriptures, as originally given by God, are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13)
There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30, Ephesians 4:4-6, 1 Timothy 2:5)
Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; we affirm His virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension, and His ongoing mediatorial work on behalf of believers. We also affirm His imminent, personal return for His church and to the earth to reign in power and glory. (John 1:1-3, Matthew 1:23, John 1:29, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 John 2:1-2)
God created humanity, male and female, in His image. God has designed marriage to be a lifelong union between one man and one woman. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be enjoyed exclusively within this marriage relationship. (Genesis 1:27; 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:9)
Each member of the human race is fallen, sinful, and lost, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation. Redemption is wholly by the blood of Christ, and salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, Titus 3:5-7, Luke 24:46-47)
The Holy Spirit indwells the believer and empowers him/her to live a godly life, to witness and to work for the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 16:13, 1 Corinthians 12:4,11, Acts 1:8)
The Church, the body of Christ, consists of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Ephesians 1:22-23, Romans 12:5)
Ultimately God will judge the living and the dead, those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29, Revelation 20:4-5)
There are two ordinances given by the Lord Jesus for His church to observe, believers’ baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Acts 2:41-42, 16:15, Romans 6:3, 1 Corinthians 11:23-25)
Every child of God possesses eternal life and being justified, sanctified, and sealed with the Holy Spirit, is safe and secure for all eternity. (John 3:36, Ephesians 1:11-14, 2 Corinthians 1:22, Romans 8:1,38-39)
